Installation and Product Care

Installation

Provide a flat, solid (vibrated) surface. If not done carefully, it can create stress in the product, damaging it.

Remove the seats using the self-tapping screws at the top of the product.

Mark the position of the holes at the bottom of the Hocker and drill holes into the flat solid surface.

Place the Hocker on the flat solid surface so that the holes in the footplate match the drilled holes. The Hocker can be placed anywhere without having to dig.

Fix the Hocker to the flat solid surface with plugs or a chemical anchor. Pay attention! Loosely tighten all bolts first, then tighten them one by one.

Reassemble the seats onto the Hockers using the self-tappers.

Wood Maintenance

Clean the Hocker with WOCA exterior cleaner and seal with WOCA exterior oil to ensure that the pigment in the wood retains longer.

Remove any dirt as and when using clean tap water. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner.

Corten Steel Maintenance

Corten Steel, also known as weather-resistant steel, is a steel alloy made of iron that has copper, silicon, nickel, and chromium added that is low-maintenance, weatherproof and durable. We do not recommend using Corten steel within a radius of 2 km from the coast. The Corten Steel will arrive not fully weathered, so be aware, as the Corten Steel weathers runoff may occur. We recommend the application of 'Owatoral' varnish once the Corten Steel has weathered; this will stop the product from rusting any further. 'Owatoral' varnish is available in 0.5Ltr and 5Ltr tins online.

How Will My Order be Delivered?

Riverhill Garden Supplies will select the appropriate dispatch method when you order based on your location and the product(s) that you have ordered.

Dispatch Methods

Parcel Delivery

Smaller products are delivered by parcel couriers, such as TNT and Parcelforce. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and forward you a tracking number.

Pallet Delivery

Larger products will be delivered by our own dedicated delivery drivers or by specialist carriers such as Palletways and ILS who will be given your contact details and instructed to book in delivery with you once your order reaches your local delivery depot.

We charge a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland.

We charge a flat rate of £50.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland if your order includes an ADEZZ product.

We are not able to offer a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to East Central Scotland, North and North East Scotland, West Scotland, Norther Ireland, ROI, Skye, Orkney Isles, Outer Hebrides, Shetland Isles, Inner Hebrides, Isle of White, Isle of Man and the Channel Isles and a surcharge will apply. You can return your order up to 60 days after delivery

What if My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our goal is to make buying online with Southern Planters Ltd easy, safe and efficient. Although extremely rare items can arrive damaged and we are conscious of this, so it is important that you read the following.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

  • Remove the goods completely from their packaging
  • Closely inspect the goods for damages or shortfalls
  • Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls and refuse the goods
  • Notify Southern Planters Ltd of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by telephoning the office on t 01732 522471. The office is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day. Providing that you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused the goods we will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund

The courier is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours.
